Winter Park-Fraser Valley, one of Colorado's popular resort areas, is readying "Snowfest," the theme for the resort's annual winter carnival, will be held on Jan. 21-23, 2011, at various locations throughout Winter Park and the Fraser Valley.
Hosted by the Winter Park-Fraser Valley Chamber of Commerce, the festival features everything "snow" including a parade and fireworks.

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, the highly anticipated luxury resort at the heart of the Las Vegas Strip, officially opened its doors to the public at 8 p.m. on Dec.15.
The evening's festivities included a first-look party for invited guests which included an exclusive three-song set from The Killers front-man and Las Vegas native Brandon Flowers, a dining taste-around at the P3 Commons restaurant neighborhood and a peek at the resort's retail boutique collection.
