Colorado's historic and iconic Johnson's Corner truck stop, restaurant and bakery has been sold to TravelCenters of America LLC (TravelCenters).

A world-famous family-owned restaurant and full-service truck stop travel plaza, Johnson’s Corner, on I-25 south of Loveland, Colorado, has been open 24 hours a day since 1952, serving up old-fashioned, home-style cooking and hospitality.

“We are very happy to have the opportunity to acquire this location – a renowned destination truck stop,” shared Tom O’Brien, president and CEO of TravelCenters. “The addition of Johnson’s Corner gives us the opportunity to provide professional drivers a new full-service travel center within our network, while also keeping the charm and character they have come to love at Johnson’s Corner.”

The acquisition of this landmark truck stop known as Johnson’s Corner raises the number of travel centers in the TA and Petro Stopping Centers branded chain to 251.

Amenities at the new, always-open Petro Stopping Centers travel center location currently include the iconic Johnson’s Corner Restaurant and Bakery, six diesel lanes, a fully stocked travel store, a quick-serve deli, six showers on a fully automated system, a drivers lounge and an UltraONE Rewards program kiosk and swiping system.

This location also offers a variety of other full-service professional driver amenities, including WiFi, CAT Scale, 110 truck parking spaces, ATM, check cashing and TripPak services. Renovations in the coming months are expected to include a Petro:Lube truck service facility. Gasoline is offered at 12 fueling positions.

Johnson’s Corner is the home of the World Famous Cinnamon Roll – sweet, delicious and as big as your plate. But the menu includes much more than cinnamon rolls. The food is always fresh – and there’s plenty of it. Lunches and dinners are always delicious, and a great way to top them off is with a big slice of the restaurant's mouth-watering pie.

And breakfast? Travel & Leisure magazine calls it “one of the top 10 best breakfast spots in the world” and has the cinnamon rolls on its list as one of America’s Best Comfort Foods. And in 2004, the Food Network declared it the “Top Truck Stop Restaurant” in the country.

For those on the road, the truck stop provides more than just great food. Johnson’s Corner offers many amenities for RVs, semi-trucks and road-weary travelers with plenty of parking for vehicles big and small.

More information on the historic Johnson’s Corner location can be found at www.johnsonscorner.com . The bakery’s world famous cinnamon rolls also can be ordered online.
